GEF, Inc. raises funds, seeks grants and uses tax-deductible donations to support

new and expanded learning opportunities to enhance the public education that

students in Gorham receive. We intend to seek proposals from the schools and

community for projects that will advance our goals and create a lasting positive

effect within the schools.

Our three core goals are to:

Enrich Learning

Provide opportunities for growth experiences beyond the classroom.

Open avenues of non-traditional exploration.

Host visiting artists, authors and scholars.

Support existing programs of excellence within the Gorham school system

Promote Ethics and Leadership

Develop programs that set kids on a positive path to meet the challenges of tomorrow

Encourage the ability to discuss and accept the diversity of opinions in our

Develop mentors and role models of leadership.

Support Excellence in Teaching

Create opportunities that allow educators to grow in their respective fields.

Establish programs that expand teachers' abilities to make connections with peers

////////through seminars, conferences, networking opportunities and courses.

Encourage educators to share knowledge and abilities with the Gorham

////////community.
